- The Lord of the Rings (all)
- Tim says:
Yeah, so I haven't seen The Return of the King yet, but I liked the first two well enough to be certain that these will definitely make #2 on my list. Dang! I am really looking forward to RotK... excuse me while I wipe away my drool.
Update: Now that I have seen the Return of the King, I am actually moving the LotR trilogy up to the number 1 place. They're that good.
- Jeni says:
Definitely not something I would have gone to see myself, but I did enjoy them. Good story! Too bad elves aren't real.
- Groundhog Day
- Tim says:
What is there not to like about Bill Murray? Especially in this movie, he really shines, giving excellent life to a movie whose basic premise could easily become very repetitive.
- Jeni says:
It's an okay movie. Not something I can watch over and over again though. That happens too much in the movie itself.
- The Princess Bride
- Gattaca
- Tim says:
Definitely a movie that makes you think. Set "in the not too distant future" but not too sci-fi. If you haven't seen this one, go rent it. NOW.
- Jeni says:
Good movie, but scrubbing all your dead skin off every day the way he did would hurt.
- Star Wars (all)
- Tim says:
What can I say? The classic space saga. So, the acting isn't the best. Big deal. Great action, good story, spiffy special effects = good movie.
- Jeni says:
Please don't make me watch it again! The acting drove me up the wall!!

- Anastasia
- Jeni says:
"… sure, yeah, I guess every lonely girl would hope that she's a princess."
I love this story! Although, it would have been better if they left out the demons and the rotting corpse. There's more than enough plot and character development to take it's place! By the way, it's from Fox not Disney.
- Tim says:
I know that I have always hoped that I was a princess. I would probably rank this movie higher if it wasn't for the obscene romanticizing of France. Ick. I get bad taste in my mouth just thinking about that country.
- Robin Hood (Disney's)
- Jeni says:
I blame my "classic childhood romance" theory on this movie. I always wanted to marry someone that I knew from childhood - I got it!
- Tim says:
Not too bad for a movie with talking cartoon animals.
- Newsies
- Jeni says:
At first, the main reason I loved this movie was Christian Bale. Cuz you know, he was "sooo cute!" Now, I've become addicted due to it's music and storyline.
- Tim says:
I can enjoy watching this movie once in a while, but there's only so much of singing and synchronized dancing boys that I can take.
- Remember the Titans
- Jeni says:
If you haven't seen this movie get up right now and go rent or buy it! How often can you watch a clean movie that has more than just a simple plot, AND good acting? 'nuff said.
- Tim says:
I'm sure that the cute boys have nothing to do with why she likes this movie. Nothing at all. I think just about my favorite part about this movie though was the soundtrack.
- E.T.
- Jeni says:
What can I say? It's a classic.
- Tim says:
I've always kind of wondered... Would we call stupid aliens just "Terrestrial?" I mean, what's so great about this stocky brown guy that he gets to be "Extra Terrestrial?" If he's so smart, why couldn't he even form a complete sentence? E.T. phone home? E.T. take grammar lessons.
